Calle Ocho

Calle Ocho Street Festival in Miami on Sunday, March 14, 2010. Along 8th Street known as Little Havana, music pumps from corner stages sparking world record Conga lines to Latin American folkloric groups and straight up grinding to Miami rappers Pitbull, T-Pain, Flo-Rida. Moving forward in the coward can be calculated by the changing aromas of churrascos, arepas, gyros and bacalaitos fritos. Coming together in the 305, event-goers proudly display their roots with flags, necklaces, tattoos, and attire. Calle Ocho Street Festival was created by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana in 1978 to share Cuban culture. The festival has become a testament to South Florida’s diverse Latin American community.<<
